Connemara MTB

It’s 10am on April 7th 2012 and I am bricking it big style, you see I’m a straight XC (cross-country) kind of mountain biker and I’m now parked in the car-park of Djouce Woods in Co. Wicklow for the 1st Round of the inaugural Irish Gravity Enduro league.
So how did I end up here? Well I like competitive MTB racing but the races on the enjoyable trails I find are just too serious for my liking so when I read about this series I was very excited, competitive racing against my friends and club mates on the same trails at the same time as the PRO’S (and I mean serious Pro’s like Joe Barnes and Jérôme Clémentz.). Always a good day out,  great training for those of us who’s Mtb seasons are about to start.

Connemara Mtb with the help of Mbw are heading to Fairymount Farm in Roscrea on the 20th Jan, there is limited places available and a cost €30 per rider,  it is also essential that all going are club and CI Members plus it is really only for the experienced rider, if interested contact any of the Connemara Mtb team or Mbw bike shop.

We are hosting a sign-up night on Jan 17th @ 19:30 in Mbw bike shop in Moycullen. It’s for anybody who wants to join our club or find out any information about mountain biking, don’t forget it is club policy that everybody that comes on our organised spins must be a club member and hold a Cycling Ireland licence. Bring your bikes as well as once your signed up you can go on a guided night spin in Moycullen woods, lights and bikes can be provided if you need them.
